Kicking off around mid 2005, ElonSkee debuted his producing familiarity by recording with close friends and family which later on turned into a hobby.
Those early years of creating music lead to the formation of the "S.Y.T.E.Rz" which after led to the creation of the "Black Glovez".

Q and A with Black Glovez
With so many artists working on their solo careers, how much pressure is there to promote the Black Glovez group?
A lot! Being a group of young individuals with numerous talents, not every member is guaranteed the same recognition or opportunities that another may have. That's all due to the way we are perceived by those paying attention to the scene and especially the people on the outside looking in. It's somewhat of a “united we stand, divided we fall” concept along the lines. With our members releasing solo projects, the priority is to push the Black Glovez brand first.
Get the people a little more familiar with Black Glovez, give us a road call and tell us what each member brings to the table?
The group was originally founded in 2005 (registered as a of 2010) and we currently have 8 members.
General Q - Always looking to improve her poetical talent, she delivers relatable material that can be felt from diverse groups of people and excels past most “femcees” in the city. Not to mention some of the well known male artists across the island as well.
Truth Vybez - Being the last member to join the Black Glovez, his lyrical skills enable him to tell stories that can paint pictures in any listeners mind.
TJB - Being one of the veteran members of the group, he brings a two sided flow to his game. He can show you what it means to have the good life and he also gives you the opposite side of things in life that are not as pretty.
Young Mac - Brings that raw flavor in the booth. He never hesitates bring in the word of the streets and is not reluctant to say things the way they ware supposed to be said.
Depending on the vibe he gets in, Taigenz tends to switch things up when it comes to flow and would also add metaphoric rhymes in even the most basic of bars.
Purps - Is the member who is quick to put anyone in their place lyrically if they decide to go ahead of themselves. He has a steady but hard-to-predict flow with bravado lyrics that makes a small time rapper think twice before saying his name.
Who’s Sane - Brings the outer space flow to the game and does so in a way that no one in Real City can even try to imitate. The self-proclaimed Martian brings that spaceship feeling to the listeners whenever he gets on the mic.
ElonSkee - managed to develop skills other than rapping. Video/audio/image editing has helped him become a very heavy asset to the group. Already being very lyrically sound at his age, the flame in him is still growing every passing day.
What differentiates Black Glovez from other groups and what are some of your goals looking forward?
We are a very versatile group. There are many lanes that we can enter without hindering our overall sound. We are a group of very open-minded individuals who do not mind trying new things with music and are always looking for ways to improve. The biggest goal we look to accomplish is to make "Black Glovez" a widely recognized brand. Similar to the past Roc-A-Fella company. Time and effort is key to this arena and we are ready.
